Usage and operation steps
1. Grinding straight edges: Install the simple track on the glass according to the relevant dimensions, adjust the grinding guide wheel to make it smooth and flexible to move back and forth in a straight line along the guide rail, thus achieving the purpose of grinding straight edges.
When in use, first select a grinding wheel that is suitable for the thickness and shape of the plate to be ground and install it on the grinder. Fix the track, adjust the height position of the grinding wheel, and lock it with a locking handle. Adjust the feed handle so that the grinding wheel contacts the plate edge and has the appropriate grinding amount. Then open the water valve to spray cold water onto the grinding wheel, start the power switch to make the grinding wheel operate normally, and then operate the grinder at a constant speed along the track.
Be careful not to pause during grinding, otherwise there will be a depression at the pause. If this situation occurs, it is necessary to repeat grinding again after a small amount of cutting to correct it.
If the operation is proficient, there is no need for a rail guide, and the machine can be directly operated to grind out more standardized edges. After the grinding is completed, replace the polishing wheel for polishing. There is no need for a track during polishing, just operate the grinder to make the polishing wheel lean against the edge of the plate, apply appropriate pressure and repeat several times, and polish to the required brightness.
2. Grinding curves and circular edges: No track is required, only skilled operation of the grinding machine is needed to grind along the edge of the curved slab. If it is a perfectly circular shape, the center of the circle can be fixed at the center of the plate, and the grinding machine can move in a circular motion along this center to produce standardized perfectly circular products. Other processing methods are the same as grinding straight edges.
Operation precautions and maintenance
1. Before operation, check whether the cable is intact, whether there is any damage or leakage, whether the electrical appliances are damp, and install leakage protectors in the user's circuit.
2. Insulated gloves should be worn during operation to prevent accidents.
3. There must be sufficient pressure of cooling water during grinding to ensure the efficiency of grinding and the service life of the grinding wheel.
4. If the speed suddenly drops sharply during use, the pressure of the grinder should be reduced and overloading should be avoided as much as possible, otherwise the motor may be damaged. Regularly check the carbon brush and pay attention to replacement to prevent wear and tear.
